Gunner was so beloved by his family. His Dad choked up when he spoke of him. I put my heart into this piece for the family. While creating this portrait, I would say, "Goodnight Gunner", each night as I closed my studio door. I also shed some tears, knowing the heavy feeling of losing a furry family member. What a good boy, Gunner. When my customer picked up the portrait, he cried. I cried after he left.
