This is one of the few remaining places that farming hasn’t touched. I discover teepee rings, half-buried, on a bluff overlooking the hills. I feel the history here. It feels like a spiritual place and I respect it. I imagine what it must have been like before we came. I wish I could travel back in time and somehow change things.
